Natchez bound

I'm leaving in the morning to hit the road and head the 100 miles to the big ole town of Natchez, MS. My friend Laura has an RV, so we're hooking 'er up to the truck and taking off. There are 4 of us going, and with these ladies, there's no telling what kind of stories we'll have when we come back. We're staying at an RV park on the LA side of the Mississippi River, but it's not hard to walk/drive down to the fairgrounds. We might even decide not to brave the crowds and just climb up on top of the RV to watch the shows. We have no set plans, and that just thrills me. No pressure to do anything. A weekend away from Funroe...what more could I ask!

The big 1

This was one very proud (and a little sad) fairy godmother on Saturday. Melain turned 1 Sunday, but they had family in town, so her party was on Saturday. She had a blast! Besides being pretty sleepy throughout most of the day, she certainly partied hardy. There's lots of pics so you don't have to watch them all. So we've all seen the infamous Baby Got Back wedding video plastered on you tube, right? That's some funny stuff.

Well, I came across this one tonight and it is sooo much better than that. I think it's gotten more hits than the other video actually. I can't stop watching it!!

I Need

Big girl

The entire clip is much longer than this, but these were her best steps on Saturday. First steps, I should say. The two people in the whole world who want her to walk the least are the ones actually encouraging her. You'd think we would learn our lesson! She thinks it's quite comical when she actually stands up by herself! This Fairy Godmother sure is proud (if you couldn't already tell).

Baby Shower

I threw a baby shower on Saturday for my best friend. She's expecting her 2nd little boy, Tanner, November 3rd. Her 2 sisters helped me out a lot (thanks Andi and Nikki!!), and we had plenty of food and games for everyone to play. Cameron, the soon to be big brother, was just as excited to open the presents as Heather was. It was a good day!
