Well the presentation is over! Yes, today was the day. Thanks to all my friends who checked on me this morning. I was Nervous Nellie!
My partner and I got a little upset though. The teacher told us it had to be 20-25 minutes long, and when we timed it last night it was 22 minutes--perfect. We are smack in the middle of presenting it today, and the teacher starts asking questions. That was fine, we were sort of expecting that. But, she asked so many things, trying to put us on the spot, that she made our presentation run 35 minutes. And then, get this, told us we needed to hurry up so the next group would have time. What?! Yeah, we were hot. So we're waiting to see if she gives us an itemized list on what she graded on. If she marks off for going over time, we're going to have some words with her. Dad said to be nice, because you never win an attitude contest with a teacher.
I have a Sociology test next Monday, a Psych test next Wednesday, and then a re-do test next Friday. That's what next week consists of, and it's the last week of classes! All my teachers are trying to cram in one more test before finals. They always do this and it drives me nuts!
My work schedule is changing slightly. Right now I work Mondays 2:30-11, Wednesdays 2-6, and Thursdays 2:30-11. As of next week I'll start working Mondays 1-9:30, Wednesdays 1:30-5:30 and Thursdays 2-10:30. It's basically the same schedule, I'll just be getting off a little earlier on Mondays. The only thing is, I didn't know the new schedule was going into effect this quickly, and I have a class Monday from 12-1:15. I'll just get someone to cover for me for the first hour. No big deal.
This weekend Emily and I are taking the Civil Service test. She was taking it and didn't want to go by herself, so she asked me to tag along. I was planning on taking it closer to graduation anyway, and you can take it 3 times in a year, so it'll work out well. We have to be at the old Delta school at 7:45 in the morning. On a Saturday!! And then after that I'm heading to Dodson for a family reunion. That will be interesting to say the least. It will probably be the last time I'll get to see some of my older relatives, so I need to make an appearance.
After I get back from Dodson, I'm planning on going to help Elizabeth with the daycare. I went up there tonight and helped paint a little bit. I was up there all day Saturday painting the doors and trim. It was fun! They have the fire inspection tomorrow, so her and Jeremy will be up there all night tonight working on it.
Oh--one of my moms from back when I was at the daycare (she's a friend too) has her own photography thing going now. Check out Delta Pointe Photography. They do great work! She sent me an email recently about having a day of pampering and getting pictures taken. No kids, no husbands, no distractions, just a girls day and photo shoot!
Alright, it's midnight thirty now--my bedtime!
