Friday the 13th

I've been needing a good book to read lately, so I found myself at Books-a-million today before heading to work. I wanted to see the movie when it came out, so I bought The Other Boleyn Girl to read beforehand. I'm already on page 87...it's pretty darn good! Can't wait to see how they Hollywood-ize it.

I can finally talk about our trip! It was a big secret until we told mom. We're going to Seattle! Well, Laura and I are. Mom and dad will leave about a week before we do and drive all the way north to Wyoming and then head west and end up in Seattle to pick us up. We'll fly out of Little Rock. We're gonna go see the Space Needle, Mount St. Helens, and then go WHALE WATCHING! Can you tell I'm excited?! Mom thought the only vacation she was getting this summer was a weekend trip to San Antonio after dad got through teaching summer school. But he's been saving money for quite a while now, and he told her they were going to have to cancel the San Antonio trip. She was mad! Then he told her what they would be doing instead, and she was shocked! She couldn't believe we had been planning it for 3 weeks without her finding out. We're very sneaky :)

The Other Boleyn Girl is GREAT!! I hear the book's better than the movie (like always) but I enjoyed it. After that one, read The Constant Princess. It's about Henry's first wife, Katherine of Aragon. I think I liked it better.

Seattle sounds fun! I've never had a strong desire to travel out west, but I think I'd like to do the NW, and maybe up into British Columbia, too. When are yall going?

Amie- you know I would have let you borrow my copy of the book. My favorites were TOBG and the "Bolelyn Inheritance."

You're gonna have so much fun on your trip!
