Paige came up Thursday night from South Louisiana, running from Ike. She stayed for a night or two and left to meet the rest of her family in Little Rock. We had a great time catching up and goofing off. We hadn't seen each other in a year, so we stayed up late, went swimming and just had a great time! Keep Southern Texas and Louisiana in your prayers as the devastation is just now really being discovered.
Saturday was my work's annual picnic. I was able to take my beautiful goddaughter and her older brother along for the ride, and it was a really great day. Ike provided us with some powerful winds that kept us cool on the very sticky, muggy afternoon.
Can you tell they were worn out? Both passed out in the car on the way home!
