making memories

Last Saturday work put on their annual picnic. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. It was the greatest day! I'd never been before, although I could've gone last year--I just chose to sleep instead. This year I had some friends urge me to join them, and I'm so glad I did. We had a great time.

After the picnic we didn't want to call it a day, so we went out to the bayou and did a little light hiking. It was so gorgeous out! We saw all kinds of things...

And then we did some swimming in some freakishly cold water. We had a great day! As mom and dad always said, we were "making memories"....
