I worked a tad bit late tonight to get some overtime in. Since I'll be gone 4 days next week, I needed a little extra time. I did work the 4th, so that will come in handy on the next paycheck. Work's been so backed up lately, they were offering OT to even some of the part-timers tonight.
Let's see...what else. I've been blog hopping the last few weeks. I've found some pretty good ones! I've been checking out some friends' of some friends too...you know how that goes. I'm hoping to meet more people and become more "bloggerific". Yes, totally made that word up.
I talked to mom earlier and they are in Oregon today. Yesterday as they went through California, they saw some of the fires not far from them. They even got some pictures of a helicopter scooping up some water to dump on the fires. I'm sure they got some interesting pictures.
Tomorrow I plan on making a shopping list for Target, and then at 3:30 I'm going to keep Cade and Melain. I don't even call it babysitting when they're concerned. I'd prefer referring to it as spending time with my Goddaughter and her older brother. Their mom has a wedding (she's a wedding planner), so I'll have them for a good part of the evening/night. We always have a good gab session when she gets home too, so that will be good. I'll probably end up taking the kids with me to Target, cause if you know anything about me, you know I won't be getting up in time to do that before I go out there. Did I mention my work schedule changed and I no longer work on Saturdays? It's so nice to know I don't have to go up there tomorrow. So very nice.
I've been spending a lot of time and prayer reading a particular blog. If you haven't had a chance to check out this post, go read it if you want, or just hop on over to Angie's blog. When you get there, click on the "click here" on the left side bar under "Welcome". It'll take you to the beginning of their story. The strength that woman has....I don't know if I could do it. Word to the wise if you decide to venture over there--grab the tissue.
I guess I'll leave you now with a picture mom sent me from her phone of the California coast. As I used to say when I was younger, after mom would dry my hair...
"How pretty, momma...how pretty"
